In a bold and necessary move, the Texas National Guard soldiers heroically took control of the US immigration checkpoint in Eagle Pass, Texas on Thursday, putting a stop to the madness caused by Biden’s Border Patrol. Fed up with the disastrous immigration policies of the Biden administration, these brave soldiers prevented the inept Border Patrol agents from accessing the facility. It’s about time someone put a stop to the chaos at our borders!

This latest event is just another chapter in the ongoing conflict between the citizens of Texas and the woefully incompetent Department of Homeland Security, led by Alejandro Mayorkas. It seems that the Biden administration’s idea of immigration control is to gather illegal immigrants at places like Shelby Park before releasing them into the interior of our great nation. It’s as if they’re intentionally inviting chaos and disregarding the rule of law.
Governor Greg Abbott has been fighting tooth and nail to protect the sovereignty of Texas. He recently signed a bill making illegal entry into Texas a state crime, signaling that Texas will not stand idly by while the Biden administration allows Mexican cartels to freely smuggle people into our country. Governor Abbott knows that the citizens of Texas deserve better than these reckless open border policies.

The Biden Justice Department, clearly more interested in punishing Texas than enforcing federal immigration laws, swiftly filed an emergency request with the Supreme Court to regain control of the Eagle Pass crossing. It’s laughable how they managed to rally the mayor of Eagle Pass to claim that the residents were satisfied with the influx of illegal immigrants and didn’t want the Texas government interfering. We see right through their desperate attempts to maintain their disastrous status quo.
Meanwhile, the feeble Alejandro Mayorkas is facing impeachment by the House of Representatives, and it’s well-deserved. His mismanagement of the Department of Homeland Security has reached catastrophic levels, and he continues to turn a blind eye to the concerns of the American people. Mayorkas seems more interested in appeasing the left than protecting our borders.

As this situation unfolds, we must keep a close eye on the Supreme Court’s response. But let’s not forget that with a looming election year and dismal poll numbers, Biden may be forced to take drastic measures. We shouldn’t be surprised if he tries to federalize the Texas National Guard and send them home, just like President Eisenhower did in Little Rock. It’s a sad state of affairs when our own government is more interested in undermining our state’s efforts to protect our borders than upholding the Constitution.
Texas will not back down. We will continue to deploy our National Guard soldiers, DPS troopers, and implement more barriers to combat the ongoing border crisis caused by President Biden’s reckless policies. It’s time for real leadership and a return to the rule of law. We will hold the line and defend the sovereignty of our great state, no matter the challenges that come our way. Our message to President Biden and his administration is simple: enough is enough.
