A federal judge in Texas has put those bureaucrats at a federal agency in their place by ordering them to stop playin’ favorites when it comes to helpin’ out business owners. U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman laid down the law and said it ain’t right for the agency to treat some people better just ’cause of their race. That’s what we call discrimination, folks!

The agency, called the Minority Business Development Agency, has been pushin’ this idea for 55 years that they should only help out business owners from certain races. But Judge Pittman said, “Hold up! That ain’t how the Constitution works!” He said it’s against the 14th Amendment, which is all about treatin’ everyone equally under the law.
This agency was set up back in the Nixon days to give a leg up to minority-owned businesses. But now, the judge is sayin’ they can’t be pickin’ and choosin’ based on race. That’s fair and square, if you ask me!
And this ain’t the first time the courts have stepped in to stop this kind of favoritism. Last year, the Supreme Court said colleges can’t be usin’ race to pick and choose who gets in. Now, this judge is tellin’ the government agency the same thing.
The agency tried to argue that they should still be able to help folks based on race, but Judge Pittman wasn’t havin’ it. He said it’s time for them to start playin’ fair and helpin’ out anyone who needs it, no matter what color their skin is.
So, there you have it, folks! This judge in Texas ain’t puttin’ up with no shenanigans when it comes to treatin’ people equally. And that’s the way it should be!
