Welfare is a lifeline for those who need help getting back on their feet, not a subsidy for beer, drugs, cigarettes, and tattoos. If you can afford these luxuries, you have no business being on welfare. End of story!

Welfare is meant to cover necessities—food, housing, healthcare—not bankroll someone’s bad habits. This abuse not only drains resources but also undermines the integrity of the system designed to help those truly in need.
Let’s talk about personal responsibility. When someone can afford these discretionary expenses, it raises a serious question about their financial choices. Prioritizing tattoos and cigarettes over paying bills or buying groceries is not just irresponsible; it’s a slap in the face to every taxpayer. People should be held accountable for their spending, especially when they’re receiving public assistance.
