President Trump is accused of shutting down free speech. This is the kind of nonsense the Left loves to scream about. But in reality, who are the true threats to free speech? It’s the progressives, who always find a way to justify violent protests as “peaceful.” When progressives champion free speech, it’s often for the most disgraceful activities. Let’s be real, their idea of protest usually involves burning, looting, and assaulting anyone who disagrees with their extreme views.
Take the example of Mahmoud Khalil. This guy was leading chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” Yet, when he faces deportation, liberals cry foul. They want you to believe that Trump is the enemy of free speech. But here’s the truth: the law is clear. If you’re a green card holder advocating terrorist activities, you don’t get a free pass. Yet somehow, the media twists this into an attack on free speech.

Then there’s Harvard. The lawsuit against Trump isn’t about freedom of speech; it’s about protecting a breeding ground of anti-Semitic sentiment. Trump’s stance is simple and logical—American taxpayers shouldn’t subsidize hatred. The Left would have you think he’s trying to squash free speech. But really, he’s just keen on protecting American values from unwarranted abuses.
What’s really ridiculous is the portrayal of Trump’s administration as a force trying to silence dissent. With Biden’s mess to clean up, the idea of Trump having the time to go after every liberal voice is laughable. Under Biden, the Left and their tech allies were quick to silence and demonize any conservative challenging their narratives. Now, under Trump, media and thought can breathe more freely.
Free speech is thriving more today than it has in recent years. The liberals’ accusations only highlight their own failures. Harvard’s radicals can continue their hateful rants; they just won’t get a free ride from the taxpayers. At the end of the day, Trump stands by the American principle of free speech, and it’s time for the Left to face the truth. If liberals want to protect free speech, perhaps they should start by valuing all voices, not just the ones that echo their ideology.
