On the self-proclaimed bastion of progressive thought known as “The View,” the reaction to the recent vice presidential debate was nothing short of a collective meltdown. The hosts of this morning program, who appear to have spent many a sleepless night ensconced in their liberal echo chamber, were tasked with defending Tim Walz while trying to rewrite the fundamental roles of government. The star of their hysteria was none other than J.D. Vance, who boldly pointed out that Kamala Harris hasn’t exactly been burning the midnight oil to fulfill her campaign promises.
As the debate unfolded, Vance relentlessly pressed Walz on the clear absence of Harris’s actions since becoming vice president. He highlighted that the powers of the vice presidency are significant enough that Harris, alongside President Biden and the Senate Democrats, could have taken executive action galore. While the co-host Sarah Haines begrudgingly acknowledged that Vance edged out Walz in both style and substance, she then scrambled to defend the Minnesota governor, stating that he had performed ‘reasonably’ well against Vance’s ‘well-oiled debate skills.’ Clearly, admitting that Vance won the debate didn’t sit well in the inner sanctum of “The View.”
JD Vance called out the moderators for lying to the audience, and CBS immediately muted him.
Legacy media is clearly controlled by the Democrats.

But the drama escalated further when Haines speculated that Vance might need a refresher on the duties of the vice president. This level of irony, coming from the defenders of a vice president who has been anything but assertive in her role, could only be topped by a stand-up comedian. Haines feigned concern that a discussion about the vice presidency was so critical that it was an indictment of the political discourse at large, proving that anyone daring to question Harris’s competency might need to be schooled in political civics. Apparently, asking about the actions of the vice president is somehow mind-blowing to the hosts of a show that prides itself on discussing current events.
The spectacle didn’t end there. Sunny Hostin threw in her two cents, claiming Walz had a better command of facts throughout the debate. It seems that in Hostin’s world, providing no substantive answers is an achievement of sorts, and Walz’s knack for meandering without accountability earns him a crown of victory. Yet, despite her unshakeable conviction in Walz’s superiority, viewers on social media were quick to point out that Harris has indeed played a crucial role in many catastrophic Democratic policies. One sharp commentator aptly noted that Harris has been a deciding vote on bills that directly contributed to economic woes and was last seen picking up the pieces from the Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco.
In the end, it becomes evident that the women of “The View,” who should arguably be showcasing their grasp on facts, instead found themselves trapped in a spiral of deflection and defensive rhetoric. The political gymnastics displayed while trying to defend Walz and Harris was entertaining, to say the least. Meanwhile, Vance’s straightforward inquiries about the action—or lack thereof—of the current administration make perfect sense to anyone with even a modicum of understanding regarding the workings of government. While “The View” may have rails to fall back on, the facts showing the ineptitude of Democrats seem to be locking them in a cage of self-delusion.
