Interestingly, this was the first serious attempt on a presidential candidate since the attempted assassination of George Wallace in 1972, and Trump definitely isn’t the type to be deterred by deep-rooted leftist animosity.

Since the July incident, Trump has been limited to indoor gatherings, prompting considerable grumbling about the need for outdoor rallies. While one might ponder what this means for a president who has famously ditched large public appearances, it’s worth noting that such an arrangement may just serve as an acknowledgment of the heightened risks that now surround Trump. With Biden’s travel schedule shrinking faster than his poll numbers, it seems only sensible to divert resources to someone who, despite the odds, is ready to take the stage and face the American people.
