Former President Donald Trump gave an impassioned address to a sizable gathering of supporters near Mar-a-Lago on Presidents Day. The event was organized by Club 45 USA, which had renamed itself to Club 47 as a tribute to Trump’s potential 2024 presidential bid. The supporters began queuing up hours ahead of the speech, and the line snaked around the Hilton Hotel close to the airport. The venue had to shut its doors eventually due to the enormous turnout of people seeking to attend.

During Trump’s speech, the audience cheered enthusiastically as he discussed various issues such as the participation of transgender athletes, his probable competitors in the upcoming presidential race, and the integrity of the election. Trump expressed his disapproval of men participating in women’s sports and took jabs at Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida. Additionally, he recommended that all Republican governors should insist on a single day of voting and the use of paper ballots with voter identification.

The location had a cash bar that provided beer, wine, and cocktails, and Donald Trump Jr. arrived early to take pictures with fans and sign copies of his father’s book. Most of the participants were adorned in red, white, and blue, and many were sporting the iconic “Make America Great Again” hats of Trump. The Daily Caller conversed with several attendees, many of whom had either flown in the night before or driven from other regions of the country that same morning.
The speech was scheduled to start an hour before it actually did due to the large amount of people who wanted to attend. When it was announced that there was no more room inside the ballroom, the remaining supporters watched Trump’s remarks from outside.
