Donald Trump recently made a statement regarding the events of January 6, 2021 and the collusion between Big Tech and the Democratic Party. He claims that social media platforms had been censoring his posts for years, and that the Democrats had worked to cover up the events of January 6. The ex-president made accusations that Twitter worked together with the FBI and other law enforcement entities to manipulate and unlawfully take the 2020 Presidential Election in favor of Joe Biden. Additionally, he pointed out that the social media platform removed some of his tweets due to Big Tech censorship, but they are now available for the public to see. He further contended that the January 6th Committee, which he viewed as highly partisan, did not want these messages to be included in the Historical and Legal Record.
Following up, Trump detailed that he proposed dispatching 10,000 to 20,000 National Guard troops on January 6 to the Capitol, in anticipation of the sizable crowds expected to assemble. He voiced disapproval towards Muriel Bowser, the D.C. Mayor, and Nancy Pelosi, a former House Speaker, both of whom are Democrats, for ignoring his advice out of fear of possible negative political outcomes. Trump also pointed out that the select committee responsible for examining the events of that day modified and distorted a video clip to support their political objectives, while concealing the actual facts from the public.
In his statement, Trump disclosed that left-wing leaders, including Chuck Schumer, the Majority Leader of the Senate from New York, were promoting violence and extremism, but were not facing any consequences for their inappropriate remarks. He concluded by stating that these quotes clear him entirely of any wrongdoing and should terminate the National distress caused by partisan, targeted, and hazardous witch hunts and hoaxes against him and his political party.
