Former President Donald Trump, the one and only target of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ fervent promise to go after him, has been slapped with a whopping fine of over $450 million for fraud. And if that wasn’t enough to make you spit out your morning coffee in disbelief, Judge Arthur Engoron has decreed that Trump must cough up the entire amount before he can even think about appealing the ruling.

Liberal critics are rejoicing, of course, claiming that justice has finally been served. But let’s take a step back and look at the facts here, folks. Trump is being nailed for a so-called “obscure” fraud statute that doesn’t even require anyone to be harmed. Can you believe that? It’s like getting a speeding ticket for driving the speed limit just because the cop doesn’t like the color of your car.
Now, let’s talk about this “unprecedented” fine. A cool $455 million is what Trump has to pony up, plus interest, just to have a shot at appealing the decision. Even for a big shot like Trump, that’s a pretty penny. And to top it off, he’s practically been banned from doing business in New York and is facing the possibility of selling off a chunk of his assets at giveaway prices. It’s like the judge is trying to make it impossible for Trump to appeal without going bankrupt first. Talk about stacking the deck!
What’s even more outrageous is that Trump wasn’t even allowed to defend himself. Judge Engoron basically threw the book at him and declared him guilty without giving him a fair chance to present his side of the story. That’s like being sent to detention without even being told what you did wrong. It’s just plain un-American.
But you know what, folks? There are still patriots out there who see through this whole charade. They’re raising serious questions about the legality and fairness of this whole circus. Many are calling for the fine to be slashed or thrown out altogether. And you know what? They’ve got a point.
