Former President Donald Trump’s legal team is gearing up to defend the big man himself! They’re arguing that he can’t possibly be on the hook for those hush money payments to Stormy Daniels because, get this, he had lawyers calling the shots! That’s right, folks, Trump’s attorneys are telling the court that their client didn’t “intend” to do anything wrong and that he was all in the know about the legal counsel handling things. They’re even planning to bring in some witnesses to chat about Trump’s awareness of the whole shebang.

The prosecutors, led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, are claiming that Trump cooked the books when it came to making payments to his former attorney and fixer, Michael Cohen. But Trump is standing firm, shouting “Not guilty!” and getting ready for his big day in court starting on March 25.
The legal eagles on Trump’s side, Todd Blanche and Susan Necheles, are getting ready to grill Cohen and other peeps involved in the Stormy Daniels situation about Trump’s knowledge of the legal team’s involvement. Trump’s team is making it crystal clear that they’re not trying to play the ol’ “blame the lawyers” game, but they’re definitely using the lawyers as a shield in this legal showdown.
Now, some smarty pants lawyer named Bradley Moss went on the Twittersphere and said Trump’s legal argument is all about him passing the responsibility buck onto his lawyers. He’s basically saying, “I gave the orders, assumed the lawyers were doing everything by the book, and now I’m in the clear!” But hey, we all know those smarty pants types love to try and rain on Trump’s parade, right?
In the meantime, the judge is tossing around the idea of putting a muzzle on Trump before the trial kicks off. But that’s not all! Trump’s team is also asking for a little time-out, hoping to push the trial date until after the Supreme Court rules on the whole presidential immunity thing from the 2020 election circus. Bragg’s office is getting ready to karate chop that request, so we’ll have to wait and see how this legal drama unfolds!
