In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former President Donald Trump criticized President Joe Biden for taking excessive vacations and neglecting his presidential duties. Trump quipped that when Biden is on the beach, he refuses to do any actual work.

Trump lamented that if Biden had simply gone to his favorite beach and tried to lift a chair weighing about three ounces, the country would be in much better shape. He emphasized that during his own vacations as president, he was always working and taking meetings with world leaders and lawmakers. Trump referred to his luxurious seaside resort Mar-a-Lago as the “Southern White House” and boasted about regularly packing his schedule, even when he was not in the White House.
In contrast, Trump claimed that Biden totally checks out and makes himself unavailable for weeks on end during his vacations. Trump criticized Biden for refusing to take phone calls or meet anyone while on vacation, leaving urgent business waiting for weeks. He highlighted a report that revealed Biden spent 138 days on vacation in 2023, accounting for 37% of the year.
Furthermore, Trump pointed out that Biden has spent a total of 417 days, or 39% of his presidency, on vacation. This is significantly more than the previous three presidents, including Trump, Obama, and Bush, who took fewer vacation days during their entire presidencies. Trump’s comments highlight his belief that Biden’s excessive vacations demonstrate a lack of commitment to his presidential duties.
