Trump Trial Vanishes: Will Justice Prevail?

Oh boy, folks, it looks like former President Donald Trump’s election interference trial has vanished from the public calendar faster than a hot potato in snowy Washington, D.C. Now, we can’t say for sure exactly when it disappeared, but a federal official spilled the beans to The Washington Post that it was still there on the internal master calendar back on January 26th. March 4th was the big day marked for Trump’s trial, but hold your horses, folks, because proceedings are currently on hold while he appeals for presidential immunity.

But let’s not forget the sassy move by District Judge Tanya Chutkan who shut down Trump’s attempt to dismiss the case based on some fancy argument that he’s immune from prosecution for his “official acts” during his time in the Oval Office. You go, Judge Chutkan! And now, we’re all waiting with bated breath for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to make a decision on Trump’s appeal, which had its oral arguments on January 9th.

Now, get this, folks. The Georgia racketeering case against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is causing some serious trouble, and the judge in Trump’s Florida case might even consider postponing that trial. But fear not, fellow conservatives, because there’s still hope for a good old-fashioned trial before the election in the hush-money case in none other than good ol’ Manhattan. That’s right, Trump has been slapped with 34 counts for allegedly fudging business records related to those hush-money payments to the infamous Stormy Daniels.

But let’s not forget the cherry on top, folks. This whole shebang is bound to hit the Supreme Court after the D.C. Circuit makes its ruling. Special Prosecutor Jack Smith attempted to save Trump’s trial date by going straight to the Supreme Court, but, unfortunately, the justices declined that invitation. Can’t win ’em all, I guess. Meanwhile, Smith’s team is doing some document filing gymnastics to keep the case alive until the appeal is sorted out.

Oh, and don’t you worry your little conservative hearts, folks. Judge Chutkan may have denied Trump’s request to hold prosecutors in contempt for filing documents during the hold period, but she did make it clear that any of these sneaky moves should be approved by the court first. Let’s keep it all nice and kosher, right?

Well, well, well, folks. Looks like the wheels of justice are turning slower than molasses on a cold winter’s day. But don’t fret, my fellow conservatives! We’ll just have to wait and see if Trump’s gonna have a day in court or if he’ll keep dodging those left-wing bullets. Stay tuned!
