In a recent segment on his show, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson issued a warning to his viewers, saying, “Looks like we’re actually going to war with Iran.” And unfortunately, he may not be far off.
As The Daily Fetched previously reported, Iran’s threats towards Israel and the United States have been growing increasingly brazen in recent days. Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, the head of the Iranian Armed Forces, even warned that American support for Israel could lead to intervention from Russia and China. The president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, also ominously declared that the “termination of Israel is imminent.”
In response, Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy, made it clear that they would not hesitate to retaliate against Iran if they joined Hamas’ war against Israel. “If we find they intend to target Israel, we will go to the head of the snake, which is Iran,” Barkat stated. This kind of inflammatory rhetoric from Iranian leaders is deeply concerning and could easily escalate tensions in the region.
The situation became even more alarming last week when missiles were fired at the USS Carney, a US Navy destroyer stationed off the coast of Yemen. US officials have confirmed that the missiles were launched by Iranian-backed Houthi militants in Yemen. This demonstrates Iran’s willingness to use proxy groups to attack American assets in the region.

In response to these developments, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced measures to strengthen the US military presence in the Middle East. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also voiced concerns about the potential for further escalation with Iran and Iranian proxies. It’s clear that the Biden Administration is not shying away from taking a tough stance against Iran, potentially putting us on a path towards war.
This is a deeply worrisome situation that demands attention and careful consideration. The prospect of a major war in the Middle East, involving Iran, is a serious threat to global stability. Tucker Carlson is right to sound the alarm. It’s essential for Republicans to push back against any misguided calls for military intervention and instead advocate for a diplomatic approach. We must prioritize peace while still protecting our interests and the safety of our allies.
