Here we go again, folks! Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky made his way over to the U.S. Capitol, but it looks like he won’t be leaving with anything to show for it. Tough break, am I right?
Zelensky was probably hoping for some big wins during his visit, but it seems like he’s coming up empty-handed. Maybe he should have tried a different strategy, like actually being a strong leader and fighting corruption in his own country. Just a thought.
NEWS: McConnell told Senate R’s during lunch just now that the Ukraine/border talks are not going anywhere this year, and that it’ll be punted to January, per attendees.
Echoes what Lankford has been saying publicly but notable that it’s coming from McConnell.

But hey, let’s not be too hard on the guy. After all, it’s not easy being the president of Ukraine, especially when you’re dealing with a hostile neighbor like Russia. But if Zelensky wants to gain any credibility on the world stage, he needs to start delivering results.
It’s a shame that Zelensky’s trip to the U.S. Capitol turned out to be a dud, but maybe next time he’ll have better luck. In the meantime, he should focus on actually doing something for the people of Ukraine instead of wasting his time on empty gestures. Best of luck, Mr. President!
