President Joe Biden just can’t seem to make up his mind about Israel. At a recent private fundraiser in Washington, DC, he didn’t hold back in trashing Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This is the same guy who was all smiles at the White House Hanukkah party the night before, praising Israel and claiming his admiration for the country. Talk about flip-flopping!
According to The Times of Israel, Biden accused Israel of “indiscriminate bombing” in Gaza and had the audacity to demand changes in Netanyahu’s democratically-elected coalition government. He even went as far as emphasizing the need for Israel to accept a Palestinian state. What is Biden thinking, meddling in another country’s internal affairs like that?

But hold on a minute, this isn’t the first time Biden has taken a swing at Israel. Back in July, he refused to meet with Netanyahu, citing “extreme” Cabinet members. Yet, he’s quick to cozy up to dictators and autocrats from around the world. Go figure!
During the fundraiser, Biden ranted about Israel’s government not wanting a two-state solution and labeled it the “most conservative government in Israel’s history.” What happened to respecting the sovereignty and decisions of our allies, Mr. President? Isn’t that what diplomacy and international relations are all about?
And to top it all off, Biden has been throwing around baseless accusations, claiming Israel’s bombing in Gaza was indiscriminate. As if that wasn’t enough, he had the nerve to say that Israel is losing global support. Someone needs to remind Biden that Israel is our ally and an important beacon of democracy in the Middle East.
Of course, true to form, the Israel Defense Forces quickly set the record straight, emphasizing the precision and care with which they target military operations in Gaza. They even provided the U.S. with proof of their precision. Maybe Biden should focus on getting his own house in order before casting aspersions on our allies.
What’s even more baffling is Biden’s sudden change of heart from expressing love for Netanyahu at the Hanukkah party to slamming him at the fundraiser. Talk about a political two-faced maneuver! Is there anything this President won’t say to pander to his audience?
In the end, it’s clear that Biden’s inconsistent and meddlesome behavior towards Israel and its government is nothing short of embarrassing and damaging to the longstanding U.S.-Israel relationship. It’s time for him to stop playing political games and start respecting our allies.
