Biden & Buttigieg’s Train Wreck: Oversight Demands Answers on Soaring Safety Failures!

Oh boy, buckle up folks, because it looks like the Biden administration’s transportation team is hitting more potholes than a country road after a rainstorm. Townhall, the voice of reason and common sense, has once again exposed the glaring failures of President Biden and his sidekick Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Their track record, or should we say derailment record, is nothing short of disastrous.

Now, the House Oversight Committee, who clearly knows a train wreck when they see one, is demanding answers from Buttigieg himself. In a scathing letter, Oversight Chairman James Comer and his colleagues are basically saying, “Hey, Pete, we’ve had enough of your bumpy ride. It’s time to get your act together and actually do something about these safety failures before we have a full-blown catastrophe on our hands.”

According to a report from the DOT Inspector General, the aviation and rail safety issues have been swept under the Biden administration’s fancy White House rug. It’s like they’re playing a dangerous game of “let’s see how many close calls we can have before someone actually dies.” And believe me, folks, luck always runs out eventually.

But wait, it gets even worse. The lawmakers point out that there have been over 1,700 runway incursions and 2,000 rail incidents in recent months alone. That’s right, more accidents than a clown car crashing into a circus tent. Yet, what has Buttigieg done about it? Absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch. It’s as if he’s too busy fantasizing about futuristic high-speed trains to actually take action and make sure Americans are safe.

To add insult to injury, the Oversight Committee reminds Buttigieg that there are a whopping 86 unresolved recommendations gathering dust on his desk. That’s like having a to-do list longer than the line at the DMV. These recommendations could’ve improved safety, efficiency, and our economy, but Buttigieg just can’t be bothered. It’s clear that he’s more interested in playing pretend Secretary of Transportation than actually doing his job.

Let’s face it, folks, this isn’t just a failure of leadership. It’s a failure of priorities. When American lives are on the line, you’d think Buttigieg would drop his obsession with bike lanes and start focusing on making sure our planes stay in the air and our trains stay on the tracks. But alas, it seems that the safety of Americans is low on his to-do list.

The House Oversight Committee is absolutely right to demand a thorough investigation. The Biden administration’s safety failures have eroded the public’s confidence in our air and rail systems faster than you can say “Green New Deal.” This isn’t about politics, folks. It’s about the safety and well-being of every American citizen. It’s time for Buttigieg to step up or step aside. Our lives literally depend on it.
