President Joe Biden’s approval rating has hit rock bottom, and it’s not hard to see why. The recent conflict between Israel and Gaza has left voters feeling uneasy about Biden’s foreign policy decisions and his handling of the situation. To make matters worse, the president’s recent meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping didn’t go over well either.
According to a new NBC News poll, Biden’s approval rating currently sits at a dismal 40% as of November 1st. To put that into perspective, that’s a drop from 46% at the start of the year. And to make matters worse, it’s even lower than his previous low of 41% back in March 2022. Ouch!

But what exactly has been going wrong for Biden on the foreign policy front? Well, for one thing, his meeting with Xi Jinping caused quite a stir. After the meeting, Biden referred to the Chinese leader as a dictator in a press conference, which didn’t go over well with many Americans. It’s no wonder that his approval ratings are taking a hit.
And let’s not forget about the ongoing conflict in Israel. Biden has tried to walk a fine line by expressing support for Israel while also showing concern for the safety of civilians in Gaza. Unfortunately, this has left voters feeling uncertain about his stance and worried about the situation overseas.
It’s clear that Biden has a lot of work to do if he wants to regain the trust of the American people. With the 2024 election just around the corner, he can’t afford to make any more missteps on the global stage. Let’s hope he can turn things around before it’s too late.
On another note, it’s worth mentioning that the NBC News poll also showed Biden trailing former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 match-up. While Trump’s lead is within the margin of error, it’s still a concerning sign for Biden.
