Joe Biden’s candidacy appears to be on life support, hanging by a thread after a series of disastrous public appearances. Word on the street is that old Joe has been having a little heart-to-heart with a key ally, spilling the beans that his chances might be cooked, and he’s considering throwing in the towel within the next few days.
Not surprisingly, the liberal media bigwigs over at CNN and The New York Times got their hands on this insider gossip from an unnamed confidant. This source suggests Biden’s been doing some serious soul-searching over the holiday weekend, pondering if he can still hoodwink the public into believing he’s fit for office. This mystery ally even hints that Joe knows it’s time to pack it up if he can’t shift public opinion quick.

Biden’s upcoming interviews and campaign stops, including a chat with the friendly faces at ABC News and some pit stops in the swing states of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, are apparently the final chances for him to prove he’s still got it. But let’s face it, after delivering a debate performance that could make one yearn for the coherence of a toddler’s babble, it’s no wonder his fellow Democrats are getting antsy and suggesting he step aside.
Predictably, the White House and Biden’s campaign team are in full damage-control mode, flat out denying the reports. Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates had the nerve to claim the news was false, lamenting that they needed more time from The New York Times to set the record straight. Biden’s deputy principal campaign manager went on CNN to insist the President is still in it to win it, confidently stating that Biden has had zero conversations about stepping down. One must admire their dedication to playing make-believe.
While the Biden camp is busy reassuring Democrats that their gaffe-prone leader is still in the race, it’s evident that behind the scenes, anxiety is peaking. Biden was set to meet with a group of Democratic governors to convince them of his viability. Some of these governors have been feeling ghosted by Biden since his cringe-worthy debate, and their patience is running thin.
In the end, the glaring question remains: how much longer can Joe Biden keep up this charade? If this weekend doesn’t turn into a miraculous rebound, Democrats might be forced to consider their options without Biden at the helm.
