President Joe Biden celebrated Women’s History Month on Monday with a self-congratulatory event at the White House, where he signed yet another executive order that supposedly prioritizes women’s health. In his speech, Biden crowed about the number of women in his Cabinet and his administration’s supposed economic successes for women. But let’s be real, folks, President Biden’s claims are about as truthful as a unicorn sighting in the wild!
Biden couldn’t help but pat himself on the back for having Vice President Kamala Harris and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson in influential positions. He also took the opportunity to throw some shade at Republicans, claiming they “voted against” his so-called achievements for women.
The president boasted about his economic policies supposedly benefiting women, touting low unemployment rates and the expansion of the child tax credit. But we all know that the economy is like a rollercoaster, and it’s about as stable as a Jenga tower in a windstorm under Biden’s leadership.
In a desperate attempt to secure women’s votes, Biden brought up his standing with women in polls and the role of women, particularly suburban women, in the 2020 and 2022 elections. He hopes to keep women on his side with his lofty promises of fighting for women’s representation and health. But after the mess he’s made in just over a year, it’s going to take a lot more than flowery speeches and executive orders to win back the trust of American women.
And of course, the president couldn’t resist touting his Women’s History Month executive order, claiming it will integrate and prioritize women’s health across federal research and budgets. It’s just another political move designed to distract from the laundry list of failures that have plagued his administration.
So there you have it, folks. President Biden’s celebration of Women’s History Month is nothing more than a pageant of empty promises and political posturing. But hey, at least the White House party planners get an A for effort in decorating the East Room!
