A recent report reveals the shocking truth about Joe Biden’s lax approach to illegal immigration in America. With an estimated 17 million illegal aliens currently residing in the U.S., only a mere 1.34 percent are actually under any form of supervision by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). That means a whopping 99 percent of these individuals are wandering freely around our communities without any oversight.
House Speaker Mike Johnson didn’t hold back in calling out Biden for his failure to address the crisis at our southern border. Sen. Bill Hagerty echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the current situation is simply unsustainable. As the number of border crossers continues to rise, it’s clear that drastic action needs to be taken to ensure proper monitoring and enforcement of immigration laws.

In response to this alarming trend, Hagerty and Rep. Byron Donalds have introduced the “Reshape Alternatives to Detention Act” aimed at compelling the Department of Homeland Security to utilize all available detention space for border crossers. The proposed legislation would require migrants to be GPS-monitored while awaiting deportation hearings, with the ultimate goal of preventing absconding and ensuring compliance with deportation orders.
As ICE’s non-detained docket is projected to skyrocket by the year’s end, it’s more crucial than ever to address this issue head-on. With millions of migrants at risk of slipping through the cracks, action must be taken to secure our borders and uphold the rule of law. Joe Biden’s lenient approach to illegal immigration is putting our nation at risk, and it’s high time for a change in policy to prioritize the safety and security of American citizens.
