Biden’s Empty Platitudes Ring Hollow After Attempt on Trump’s Life

President Biden took to the national airwaves with his usual dose of moving words following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. It’s like a broken record at this point with the preachy speeches about unity and peace. The man loves to hear himself talk, that’s for sure.

In his address, Biden did manage to acknowledge that Trump wasn’t seriously hurt in the attack, which is a relief. But then he went on to shower praise on the deceased victim, Corey, calling him a hero for trying to shield his family during the chaos. I mean, sure, it’s sad that someone died, but can we stop with the melodramatics here?

Of course, Biden couldn’t resist speculating on the shooter’s motives, throwing out the classic “we don’t know” line. Well, if you don’t know, then maybe don’t go making assumptions, Joe. Stick to the facts if that’s not too much to ask.

And then there’s the part where Biden starts preaching about how we’re all just one big happy family, even when we disagree. Sorry, Mr. President, but when someone tries to kill a former president, that’s not just a disagreement. That’s a criminal act that needs to be dealt with swiftly and harshly.

Overall, Biden’s speech was more of the same old song and dance routine. Let’s hope he has more concrete actions planned behind the scenes because empty platitudes can only get you so far in the real world.
