Joe Biden’s delusions of a tight race are about as believable as his claim to be a spry 80-year-old. While the aging commander-in-chief and his Rasputin-like inner circle continue to paint a rosy picture, reality has other plans. House Democrats are getting jittery, with none other than Rep. Adam Schiff suggesting that Biden’s continued presence on the ticket spells doom. Schiff warned donors that without a drastic change, Democrats face a spectacular annihilation.
Poll after poll confirms the bleeding. Since Biden’s disastrous June 27 debate, Donald Trump’s star has only risen. CNN’s own John King projected a brutal scenario for Biden in the 2024 race, equating it to a political epitaph. Sixteen weeks from election day and the Democrats are practically auditioning for a catastrophe, with minimal time to rewrite the script. If the electoral trends hold, Trump is on the fast track to a 330-vote Electoral College landslide.

The Biden camp, however, seems blissfully out to lunch. The president either ignores the polls, claims it’s neck and neck, or references imaginary numbers cooked up by his media flunkies. Biden trailing Trump by two to three points nationally is an exercise in futility. Even within the margins of error, Trump’s advantage in the Electoral College is as sure as the sunrise.
It’s clear the Biden campaign has essentially thrown in the towel on several key states. Every Sun Belt gain from the last election has been surrendered without so much as a whimper. Biden’s team is banking on Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin as their holy trinity back to the White House. But here’s the kicker: Trump is leading in all three states. Even Virginia, once a safe blue haven, has now veered into solid battleground territory.
Meanwhile, Biden’s age and mental decline make his campaign look like a scene out of “Weekend at Bernie’s.” It’s a zombie march to the finish line—with Biden’s handlers doing all the heavy lifting. New polls out of Wisconsin show Trump firmly ahead, and the Senate race is a dead heat. Republicans are also scoring higher on generic ballots. In other words, the GOP is gearing up for a red wave while Democrats cling to a mirage of victory.
