Joe Biden, the current White House resident, has once again been caught in a web of lies after publishing false information about gun deaths in America on his Twitter account. In a desperate attempt to justify a ban on AR-15-style firearms and other assault weapons, Biden failed to provide the truth about firearms and child deaths in America. Community Notes, a fact-checking website, exposed Biden’s false claims and have provided evidence that accidents are actually the leading cause of death for children and adolescents in America.

While it might seem trivial to some that he excluded an entire age group and counted people who aren’t children as children, the truth is, Joe Biden is a liar who doesn’t care about the facts. His claim that guns are the number one killer of kids in America, more so than car accidents and cancer combined, just goes to show how far Democrats are willing to go to push their anti-gun agenda.

If Joe Biden and his party truly cared about gun deaths in America, they would not focus on banning so-called “assault weapons”. The fact is that AR-15s and similar rifles account for a small fraction of deaths caused by firearms in America, despite being the most plentiful rifle in the nation.
It’s time for Democrats to stop conflating gun deaths with “assault weapons” and focus on why gun deaths occur. Most of these deaths are suicides, and it’s a fact that the majority of firearms used are handguns. Biden’s dishonesty will only play on emotions rather than provide fact-based policies for the American people.
Ultimately, the reality is that Biden won’t be banning any type of gun, and he knows that. He’s just worried because it’s election season. That’s a Democrat tradition, after all. It’s time for Americans to wake up to the lies and half-truths peddled by the left and hold them accountable.
