Last week, Putin stated that his country's nuclear threats are not a bluff. He said that Russia would not hesitate to use its weapons against the west.
Jake Sullivan, a National Security Advisor, said on ABC News that the US has been privately telling Russia about the possibility of using nuclear weapons against the west. He also warned the Russians that the US would respond “decisively.”
John Kerry, the US' top intelligence official, warned that the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine would have severe consequences.
