Hold on to your hats, folks, because California just can’t seem to stop with their wacky education policies! The latest news? The Orange Unified School District is considering adopting a policy that would actually require schools to inform parents about their children’s gender identity. Can you believe it?
California School Districts Will Defy Newsom's Policies, Inform Parents of Children's Gender Identity https://t.co/Ubufmmg4PL

Under this proposed policy, principals, staff, and even counselors would have to notify parents in writing within three days if a student dares to identify as a gender other than what’s on their birth certificate. It’s as if these bureaucrats think parents have a right to know what’s happening with their own children. What a crazy idea!
But it doesn’t stop there. Oh no, California always likes to go the extra mile. The policy also demands that parents be told if their child prefers to be called by a different name or wants to use pronouns that match their gender identity. I mean, seriously, who cares what name someone wants to be called or what pronouns they use? It’s not like parents have any interest in being involved in their kids’ lives, right?
Of course, there are those who oppose this new policy, like the president of the Orange Unified Education Association teachers union. He claims that there’s no evidence to suggest that this policy will actually benefit students’ academic performance. Well, excuse me, Mr. Union President, but since when did evidence matter in the world of California education? This is all just a political game to distract us from what really matters.
And let’s not forget about California’s Attorney General, Rob Bonta, who had to weigh in on this issue. He believes that notifying parents about their child’s gender identity somehow threatens the safety and well-being of LGBTQ+ students. Give me a break! Just because parents might have a different perspective or want to be involved in their child’s life doesn’t mean they’re a threat to anyone’s safety.
It’s clear that California has lost touch with reality. They’re more interested in pushing their own agenda than actually focusing on what’s best for kids. This new policy is just another example of the left’s obsession with identity politics and political correctness. Parents should have the final say in their children’s education, not the out-of-touch bureaucrats in California. It’s time to put an end to this nonsense and start prioritizing real education instead of these ridiculous social experiments.
