Looks like the Democrats are at it again! The prosecution of former President Donald Trump has hit another snag in the form of a delay request. Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is leading the witch hunt against Trump, requested that the trial be delayed until December 11, instead of its original start date in August, in order for defense attorneys to obtain security clearances.
JUST IN: In a series of filings, Special Counsel Jack Smith asks Judge Cannon:
(1) To delay Trump/Nauta’s trial to December 11, 2023;
(2) To file a sealed list of witnesses that Trump/Nauta are prohibited from speaking to about case;
(3) For a pre-trial conference under CIPA. pic.twitter.com/DBRGKofO5G

What nonsense! It’s already been reported that two of Trump’s lawyers have sought security clearances, so what’s the holdup? But of course, the Democrats want to prolong this baseless case against Trump as much as possible.
Smith even went as far as to file a motion asking that Trump and his aide Walt Nauta be barred from contacting witnesses on a sealed list. It’s ridiculous how desperate the Democrats are to make this case stick.
The delay may also negatively impact Trump’s ability to campaign in the Republican presidential primary, which is just two months after the proposed trial start date. Coincidence? We think not. The Democrats will stop at nothing to prevent Trump from seeking re-election.
It’s time for the American people to see through this political theater and realize that the Democrats are just using this case to try and win more seats in Congress. The real issue here is that they can’t accept the fact that Trump defeated their chosen candidate in 2016 fair and square. It’s time to let Trump move on and focus on more pressing issues facing our country.
