Fox News’ decision to abruptly fire their most popular host, Tucker Carlson, on Monday has caused a massive uproar among Fox Nation subscribers. After the network released a statement saying they had “agreed to part ways” with Carlson, without even giving him a chance to say goodbye to his viewers, angry subscribers began dropping their subscriptions en masse. Many of them took to social media to express their outrage and vow to follow Carlson out the door.

The statement given by Fox News was cold and clinical, considering Carlson was a key figure in the network’s success. It’s no surprise that Fox Nation subscribers were so quick to abandon the network, as they felt betrayed by the decision.

Adding fuel to the fire was former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who called the decision to fire Carlson a “terrible move.” She went on to say that the network’s settlement with Dominion happened because “they were under pressure by their audience to reverse the call” and that “the audience started to leave them in droves because they felt betrayed because they didn’t understand the mission of Fox News, which is to be fair.”
These comments from Kelly are indicative of the larger problem with Fox News: they have strayed from their mission of being fair and balanced. The firing of Carlson is a perfect example of this, as it was done without any regard for his loyal viewers and subscribers. This decision has caused many conservative viewers to feel betrayed and abandoned by Fox News, and it’s no wonder why so many are choosing to drop their subscriptions.
The liberal media is quick to jump on any opportunity to criticize Fox News, but in this case, they have a point. Fox News’ decision to fire Tucker Carlson without giving him a chance to say goodbye was a huge mistake, and it has cost them dearly.
