Harris Ex-Staffer Tips J.D. Vance as Potential Trump VP, Cites Debate Skills

A former staffer of Vice President Kamala Harris says that Republican Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio could be a strong contender for former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick. The staffer, Ashley Etienne, mentioned that Vance’s debating skills could pose a significant challenge to Harris. She believes that Vance’s ability to connect with voters who are still undecided could make him a formidable opponent in a debate setting.

J.D. Vance, who is 39 years old, is a well-known author and venture capitalist. He was elected to the Senate in 2022. President Trump has hinted at potential vice presidential choices, indicating that the announcement may come during the GOP National Convention in July. Some sources have suggested that Senator Marco Rubio of Florida could also be a strong pick due to his perceived ability to worry the Biden campaign. Rubio has been listed alongside Vance on a shortlist for Trump’s running mate.

Other names on Trump’s vice presidential shortlist include Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida, Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson. It’s still unclear who Trump will ultimately choose, but some sources have mentioned Rubio and Burgum as leading choices.

It’s important to note that the 2024 election is a significant and vital event for the country. The election is crucial, and support is needed to continue the fight against corruption and the spread of accurate information to millions of Americans.
