Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has found himself in yet another scandal, this time involving suspicious phone calls with his overseas business partners. According to reports, Hunter made numerous calls to his influential father during meetings with executives from Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company that paid him a staggering $83,000 every month. The revelations come from Devon Archer, Hunter’s former business partner and friend, who is expected to testify before Congress about the details.
During one specific call, Hunter put his dad on speakerphone and pleaded for his support on behalf of Burisma executives Vadym Pozharskyi and Mykola Zlochevsky. Joe Biden responded with nothing more than vague pleasantries, as reported by the New York Post. This raises serious concerns about Hunter’s close ties to his father’s position of power and the potential conflicts of interest that may have influenced U.S. policy decisions.

The Biden family’s entanglement in international business deals has long been a target for Republicans seeking to uncover their shady dealings. Joe Biden has consistently denied any involvement, but the mounting evidence makes his defense increasingly untenable. A recently released FBI memo reveals that Burisma executives admitted to keeping Hunter on their board to secure favors from his powerful father, who at the time was overseeing U.S. relations with Ukraine.
In exchange for a jaw-dropping $10 million, then-Vice President Biden allegedly used his position to pressure Ukraine into firing prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who happened to be investigating Burisma. Even more shockingly, Biden himself bragged about the incident in 2018, bellowing, “Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.” This blatant corruption must not go unnoticed by the American people.
While Devon Archer is scheduled to testify before the House Oversight panel, there are doubts about whether he will actually appear, given his three previous cancellations. If he does testify, it is expected that he will shed light on another questionable event involving Joe Biden. Specifically, a dinner that Joe attended in 2015 with Vadym Pozharskyi, the Burisma executive who subsequently thanked Hunter for the introduction via email.
The White House and their Democratic allies have attempted to dismiss all these mounting allegations as just another Republican conspiracy theory. However, recent statements from the White House indicate a subtle change in their defense strategy. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that Joe Biden was “never in business” with his son. While the language may be softer, it does not absolve the President from scrutiny over his son’s business dealings. The American people deserve the truth, and it is high time for transparency and accountability in the Biden family’s shady affairs.
