Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, caused a major uproar when he snubbed his nose at a House Oversight Committee subpoena and declined to appear for a closed-door testimony. Instead, he gallivanted over to the Capitol, where he merrily gave some remarks at a press conference on the Senate side, all thanks to a space reserved by none other than Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), and then sauntered off into the sunset, leaving everyone scratching their heads in disbelief.
But don’t worry, justice may still be served! House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) have been waving the flag of reminder even before Hunter’s grand disappearing act. They’ve been shouting from the rooftops that Hunter could find himself in contempt of Congress for his audacious actions. And guess what? The House seems to be taking those warnings pretty seriously!

It was announced that the Oversight Committee is kicking around the idea of holding Hunter in contempt and the Judiciary Committee is getting in on the action too. There’s talk of a resolution and accompanying report to make Hunter face the music for his blatant disregard of the subpoenas.
The drama doesn’t end there, folks. Hunter is scheduled to be arraigned on nine federal tax-related charges in Los Angeles, which sounds like a real party. Ah, the coincidences of timing! But wait, there’s more. Hunter previously tried to offer himself up for some good old public testimony, but Comer shut that down real quick, stating that the first son doesn’t get to make up his own rules. The nerve!
But hold onto your hats, because it gets even juicier. The House Committee on Ways and Means, under Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), has been poking around into Hunter’s shenanigans, as well as those of others involved in the Biden crime family. That investigation even has President Biden in its crosshairs! Comer and Jordan are not pulling any punches, as they’ve been digging into whether President Biden was part of a conspiracy to obstruct a congressional proceeding, based on some spicy statements from the White House Press Secretary. They’ve even dusted off the ol’ “impeachable offense” warning! It looks like President Biden might need to start battening down the hatches.
In fact, just to add some more fuel to that fiery impeachment inquiry, the House Republicans held a vote to give it the green light on the very day that Hunter was supposed to show up for his deposition. It seems that the Biden family is gearing up for quite the rollercoaster ride, and the Republicans are making sure they’ve got front row seats for the show.
