In 2023 – Biden To Kick Off With Rare Joint Appearance With McConnell

First big trip of the year for Biden will include a rare meeting with Mitch McConnell, the Senate Minority Leader from Kentucky.

According to CNN, an event will be held in Kentucky on Wednesday to discuss the infrastructure bill that Biden signed as the president last year. This was one of his biggest legislative victories.

Besides McConnell, Biden will also be joined by other prominent individuals such as Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

The event, which is reportedly being held on the Kentucky side of Cincinnati, is being held to discuss the infrastructure bill. This comes after Ohio and Kentucky were able to receive $1.6 billion in federal funding for a project that will help relieve the traffic gridlock at the Brent Spence Bridge.

The money for the project was mainly made through the Bridge Investment program, which was included in the bill. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, McConnell and Rob Portman, who is from Ohio, were able to secure the necessary funding for the bridge project.

Biden and his wife, Jill, are currently on a vacation in the US Virgin Islands. After returning to Washington, D., the Republicans will take over the House. The Democrats, on the other hand, will maintain their majority in the Senate.

A White House official said that other members of Biden's team are also planning trips to various parts of the country this week to discuss the president's economic plan. These officials hope to talk about how the plan will help create jobs and revitalize communities.

Pete Buttigieg, the Transportation Secretary, will be visiting New London, Connecticut. Kamala Harris, the Vice President, will be in Chicago.
