A whopping 500 migrants boldly crossed the border and invaded the small town of Eagle Pass, Texas on Wednesday morning. This big migrant group trend is happening more and more, leaving everyone scratching their heads and wondering when it’s going to stop.

Mostly Venezuelans and Central Americans made up this brazen band of border crossers. They didn’t even bother to sneak in individually. They just charged the downtown area and barreled through the measly wire barriers set up by the state of Texas!
An anonymous source at U.S. Customs and Border Protection warned that these border breaches are no joke. The Rio Grande’s water is speeding along faster than normal, thanks to the International Boundary and Water Commission turning on the taps at the Amistad Dam in Del Rio. This has caused the water levels to rise, making it even riskier for these migrants to take the plunge.
This isn’t the first time this kind of craziness has happened. Massive groups of nearly 500 or more migrants have been turning up in Eagle Pass like it’s their personal vacation spot. And with this increase in activity, more and more migrants are meeting tragic ends by drowning in the unforgiving currents.
And don’t even get started on the potential for more migrant deaths. The Del Rio Border Patrol Sector has already seen 15 drownings in just the past seven weeks! While early reports suggested some migrants may have been swept away, it turns out they all miraculously survived. Now, they’re being chauffeured to a nearby Border Patrol processing facility, where they’ll probably be released to shack up in the U.S. while they sort out their asylum claims.
But wait, there’s more! The Del Rio Sector is clocking in as the second busiest spot for migrants crossing into the U.S. nationwide. And with massive releases happening every day, big cities across the country are getting a taste of the chaos at the border.
Like Randy Clark, a former big shot at the Border Patrol, has been saying on Twitter, it’s getting crazy out there. And if things keep heating up, it won’t just be the small towns feeling the burn.
