Israel’s path forward is marked by three essential goals that are non-negotiable and crucial for its long-term security. First and foremost, the safe return of hostages is paramount. The plight of these individuals has captured global attention, and hasty resolutions are simply unacceptable. The focus must remain unwavering on bringing every hostage back home, making it clear that the kidnapping of Israelis is not just a tactical maneuver; it’s personal.
Next on the to-do list is the complete obliteration of Hamas’ military and administrative capabilities. It’s not just about throwing a few missiles and calling it a day. This is about dismantling the very infrastructure that allows Hamas to operate and terrorize not just Israel but also the innocents living in Gaza. Every rocket, every weapons cache, and every tunnel shouldn’t just be targeted—they need to be turned into dust, ensuring that Hamas is left scrambling for crumbs instead of plotting its next atrocity against innocent people.
Finally, Israel must focus on ensuring that Gaza is rendered incapable of presenting a future threat. Some might ask if this is even possible, given the complex dynamics in play. However, the reality is that unless proactive measures are taken to secure a lasting peace, the specter of Hamas will always loom over the region like a bad hangover. Israel needs to establish and fortify borders, implement stringent measures around security, and support initiatives that promote stability rather than instability. In short, the goal is to make sure that Gaza becomes more of a vacation hotspot and less of a launching pad for rockets aimed at Israeli cities.

There is no doubt that the liberal perspective may call for negotiations and compromises, but history has shown time and again that appeasement only emboldens aggressors. Instead of handing out handshakes, Israel should be handing out a stark ultimatum. It’s either security or chaos—there’s simply no middle ground when it comes to survival in this volatile area.
In essence, this roadmap is not just about responding to current threats; it’s about crafting a future where Israel can feel safe to live and thrive without the cloud of terrorism hanging over its head.
