Liberal Media Pushes Unverified Memo to Bash Trump on Russia

In a world of rampant misinformation, the liberal media continues to pump out articles based on shaky foundations that would make a house of cards look stable. A recent furor erupted around an alleged memo claiming that the Trump administration views Russian cyber threats as a low priority. Cue the liberal media’s classic wailing about Trump, Russia, and the never-ending drumroll of “collusion.” This latest narrative from outlets like The Guardian is just another entry in the Hall of Shame for journalism, where the truth takes a back seat to sensational headlines.

The alleged memo, which no one seems to have seen except for a handful of journalists eager to write fiction, reportedly doesn’t even originate from the Trump administration. Instead, it appears to be a figment of someone’s imagination, designed to fit neatly into the liberal narrative about Trump’s supposed cozy relationship with Putin. The Guardian, in its usual fashion, is not revealing the memo’s date or source, which raises eyebrows and suggests they may be pulling this story from a hat rather than legitimate reporting. The absence of evidence should raise alarms, yet here we are, drowning in the sea of media nonsense.

So, what do we have? A supposed memo from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) outlining priorities that favor China while oddly omitting Russia. The spin from left-leaning pundits suggests this is a deliberate oversight, signaling a complete abandonment of vigilance against Russia. However, the truth is that the memo isn’t even a product of the Trump administration, and officials in the Department of Homeland Security have correctly labeled it as “trash.” Apparently, facts don’t matter when the goal is to stir up a scandal.

Analysts and experts have been quick to point out that the Trump administration has not dismissed Russia as a threat to national security, yet that nuance is conveniently left out of the reporting. The story wants readers to believe that the memo represents a significant policy shift, but that’s just wishful thinking from those who would rather stoke fear than report the reality. The administration has made it clear that it recognizes Russia and China as adversaries, so the idea that it would ignore one while focusing on the other is just another baseless claim in a long line of absurd accusations.

As the media’s credibility crumbles under the weight of its own partisan narratives, it’s worth noting that some outlets, like The Guardian, at least admit their left-leaning bias. Unfortunately, this acknowledgment does not equate to a commitment to factual reporting. Instead, it opens the door for more misinformation, as seen in their latest foray into the Trump/Russia saga. If this is what passes for journalism, one has to wonder if the next “scandal” will be about UFOs landing on the White House lawn—better clarity on that memo wouldn’t hurt.
