In a tragic incident that occurred last Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida, three precious lives were lost at a Dollar General store. It is important to note that the suspect, who sadly took his own life, held a deep hatred towards black people, according to the local sheriff. But leave it to the left to exploit any tragedy to advance their own political agenda.
Professor T Anansi Wilson, in her column for The Guardian, used this heartbreaking event as an opportunity to blame Governor Ron DeSantis. Wilson goes on a rant, suggesting that DeSantis’s public policies and alleged “dog-whistle politics” are responsible for the violence that occurred. Clearly, Wilson has a bone to pick with the governor.
Despite the fact that DeSantis had no direct involvement in the murders, Wilson audaciously labels him an “unindicted co-conspirator” due to his supposed attempts to “criminalize or eradicate the rights and experiences of Black folks.” These claims are not only baseless but also demonstrate the left’s tendency to jump to conclusions without evidence.
One of Wilson’s main grievances against DeSantis is his handling of policies such as Amendment 4, redistricting, and the anti-riot bill. However, she conveniently fails to mention the billions of dollars in damage caused by the Black Lives Matter protests. It seems like selective memory is a common trait among leftists.
Furthermore, Wilson takes issue with the Stop Woke Act and the Parental Rights in Education Act, which she misrepresents to fit her biased narrative. These laws actually aim to protect children from radical ideologies and ensure parental rights in education. But of course, Wilson would rather twist the truth to suit her agenda.
Another overlooked fact is that one of the individuals involved in developing the Florida state curriculum is Dr. William Allen, a black man descended from slaves. The curriculum aligns closely with the College Board’s curriculum for AP African American History courses, which leftists once fervently defended. Funny how they conveniently forget their own arguments when it doesn’t suit their narrative.
Wilson concludes her diatribe by suggesting that DeSantis believes “enslavement, subordination, and state violence against Black people have long been beneficial.” This outrageous claim is nothing more than a baseless attack, devoid of any evidence or logic. It is a prime example of the left’s constant character assassination of conservatives.
Ron DeSantis scoffed when the NAACP issued a travel advisory this spring warning Black people to use “extreme care” if traveling to Florida.
Just three months later, DeSantis is leading his state through the aftermath of a racist attack that left three African Americans dead.…

But the left doesn’t stop at just one columnist vilifying DeSantis. Even mainstream media outlets like Associated Press, CNN, and MSNBC join in the blame game. They twist his words, take his statements out of context, and slander him at every turn. It’s clear they have a mission to discredit a conservative leader and further their own agenda.
As the left continues to exploit tragedy and push false narratives, it is crucial for conservatives to stand strong. We cannot let their biased attacks go unchallenged. Governor DeSantis, despite facing these baseless accusations, remains focused on serving the people of Florida, even as the state faces the impending Hurricane Idalia. His dedication and commitment to his constituents are evident, despite the left’s attempts to smear his name.
It is time for conservatives to unite and fight back against the unfair and unfounded attacks from the left. We must continue to support leaders like Governor DeSantis, who work tirelessly to uphold conservative values and champion the rights of all Americans. Let’s not be swayed by the left’s manipulation and propaganda. United, we can defend truth and ensure a bright future for our great nation.
