The Lincoln Project, a group known for their unrelenting disdain for former President Donald Trump, is once again making waves with their hateful rhetoric. After the recent assassination attempt on Trump, the Lincoln Project took to social media to condemn political violence. However, considering their history, it’s hard to believe they truly meant it.
One of the founders of the Lincoln Project, Rick Wilson, made his intentions clear back in 2015 when he said, “They’re still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump.” While Wilson now claims that this was just metaphorical speech, it’s hard to ignore the underlying message of violence.
Despite their previous statements, the Lincoln Project and its members, like Wilson, continue their relentless attacks on Trump. On Tuesday, Wilson even compared Trump to Adolf Hitler in a social media post. This group of anti-Trumpers seems to have no limits when it comes to spreading their message of hate.

It’s not just the Lincoln Project that is guilty of this alarming rhetoric. MSNBC and other media outlets also share the blame for their inflammatory language. While conservatives may have deep policy disagreements with Democrats, we never stoop to the level of threatening violence. It’s concerning that some on the left find it acceptable to use dangerous language when speaking about Trump.

Conservatives were quick to call out the Lincoln Project for their continuous hateful rhetoric. This group, along with MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, and others, spew nothing but Trump hatred. It’s clear that they are more interested in fueling division and animosity than engaging in productive political discourse.
It’s disheartening to see the Lincoln Project double down on their offensive rhetoric, especially in the wake of the assassination attempt on Trump. This kind of language only further divides our country and undermines the principles of democracy. It’s time for the Lincoln Project to step back and reflect on the impact of their words.
