McCarthy Throws Shade At Nancy Pelosi’s SOTU Stunt

In response to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy criticized his predecessor. In a video, McCarthy said that he would not remove the copy of Biden's speech that he received after the speech.

It was very clear that McCarthy was referring to Nancy Pelosi, who was the House speaker before she was removed from office after she ripped up Trump's State of the Union speech.

In response to the question about whether he would rip up Biden's speech, McCarthy posted a video of his answer.

"In response to another question, McCarthy stated that he doesn't believe in the "trash talk" of tearing up speeches. He also said that he respects the other side of the political spectrum."

Ahead of Biden's speech, McCarthy delivered his own address, where he criticized Democrats for their continued pursuit of reckless spending. They also repeatedly raised the debt ceiling without any changes to the spending.

"According to McCarthy, the Democrats have spent the past four years on an "out of control" spree, which has left the country in debt. He also noted that they did not take responsibility for their actions. Instead, they "just doubled down."

He noted that in 2021, the Democrats were able to pass the largest increase in the debt limit in history. Then, they used the credit card of the American people again 13 months later. Biden wants Congress to increase the debt limit again, but without any changes to the way the government spends its money.

The speech that Biden will deliver on Tuesday will focus on economic gains. Following his address, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the governor of Arkansas, will give a Republican response.
