A new documentary titled “Capitol Punishment 2: The War on Truth” has surfaced, featuring revealing footage of a U.S. Capitol Police officer discussing how undercover agents in the crowd at the Capitol protest on January 6, 2021, were identified. In the video, the officer mentions that non-uniformed individuals would wear wristbands and have guns with a thin stripe on the barrel as identifiers.
This sequel to the 2021 film “Capitol Punishment” also includes a tense exchange between GOP Rep. Thomas Massie and Attorney General Merrick Garland during a September 2023 congressional hearing. Massie questioned Garland about the presence of government agents or assets at the Capitol on January 5 and January 6, to which Garland responded that he did not have that information.

According to the documentary, a September 2023 New York Post story reported that the FBI had lost track of how many paid informants were present at the Capitol on January 6, prompting an audit to ascertain the exact number. Additionally, a court document in one of the January 6 cases indicated there were at least 40 undercover agents present.
Former Capitol Hill Police Chief Steven Sund previously told Tucker Carlson that he believes there were a significant number of undercover agents within the crowd during the protest. The documentary also includes footage of signal flares and smoke grenades of different colors being deployed during the protest, followed by what appeared to be coordinated movements from individuals identified as possible federal operatives.
“Capitol Punishment 2: The War on Truth” is now available for streaming and rental. It aims to shine a light on the events surrounding the January 6, 2021 Capitol protest and explore the potential involvement of undercover agents in the crowd.
