The Elections Commission of San Francisco swore in Kelly Wong, a noncitizen, as one of their commissioners last week, which was an unprecedented action. The news is truly astounding! This individual, who lacks the legal right to vote in the United States, was elected unanimously by the Board of Supervisors of the city. It seems unbelievable, doesn't it?

Aaron Peskin, the president of the Board of Supervisors, lauded Wong, expressing his admiration for her dedication to registering infrequent voters and assisting noncitizens in obtaining the necessary resources to transition into citizens. It is as if they are throwing a party with individuals who have no business being invited!
Wong asserts that he wishes to increase participation from the non-English speaking and immigrant communities of the city, but come on! How can an individual who does not identify as a citizen assist others in comprehending political discussions and navigating the voting process? Comparable to requesting a canine to whimper, it is utterly illogical.
She is also advocating for the translation of voter materials so that individuals who do not speak English can comprehend them. However, she stated that neither Cantonese nor Mandarin have an equivalent term for the word "reparations." It's as if she were organizing a game of "telephone," but instead of a string, misinformation is being transmitted through language barriers.
Moreover, Wong is an advocate for immigrant rights on behalf of a San Francisco-based civil rights organization. Consequently, in addition to lacking citizenship, she engages in dual political activities despite purportedly holding the position of a nonpartisan commissioner. What an incredible spectacle!
The finishing touch? She aims to be an inspiration to others, according to Wong. Inspiring precisely what? An illuminating illustration of how an individual might skillfully maneuver their way into a role beyond their qualifications? It is comparable to a shady game of "follow the leader," in which Wong steers others astray. Horrendous insanity!
