Oh boy, get ready folks, because this article is about to take you on quite the ride! It seems that a Hawaiian water official connected to none other than President Barack Obama himself is under fire for potentially delaying fire prevention measures that could have saved over 100 lives. Talk about dropping the ball!
So this character we’re talking about is M. Kaleo Manuel, a Hawaii water official and you won’t believe it, an “Asian Pacific Leader” with the Obama Foundation. Can you say “political connections”? It all came to light when a video from the archives surfaced, showing Mr. Manuel talking about how water should not be seen as something we can use, but as an “earthly manifestation of a god.” Seriously, someone needs to get their priorities straight!
Now, I don’t know about you, but I think preventing wildfires is pretty darn important. But apparently, Mr. Manuel had other ideas. According to sources, he delayed a desperate request from the West Maui Land Co. to use water to fight the spread of wildfires. Instead of giving the green light, he insisted that the company get permission from a local farmer downstream. Well, guess what? By the time they got the go-ahead, the whole place was up in flames. Talk about too little too late!

And here’s the kicker, folks. Neither Manuel nor the DNLR (Department of Land and Natural Resources) would comment on the whole situation. They claim that they can’t answer any questions because of some emergency response guidelines. Seriously? I thought transparency and accountability were supposed to be important in government! Looks like they conveniently forgot that memo.
Now, enter businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who’s saying that this whole debacle is a result of the so-called “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” agenda. He didn’t hold back, arguing that this agenda is literally putting people’s lives at risk. And you know what? He’s got a point! It’s one thing to talk about equity and all that fancy jazz, but when it comes down to it, the government’s number one responsibility is to protect its citizens. Plain and simple.
So, Hawaii’s Democrat governor, Josh Green, is saying there are people fighting against the release of water to fight fires. Can you believe that? People actively opposing efforts to save lives? This needs to be investigated further, no doubt about it. The victims and their families deserve the truth. This incident highlights the importance of having competent officials who prioritize the safety and well-being of the people above all else. It’s time to hold those responsible accountable and ensure that this kind of negligence doesn’t happen again.
