In a surprising turn of events, the left-wing gossip-mongers at Media Matters for America have found themselves on the receiving end of some major backlash. Riley Gaines, a fierce advocate for women’s sports and a conservative champion, has taken aim at the smear merchants after they targeted her with a hit piece.
The article in question accused Gaines of building her media career by using the name of Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer. The audacity of Media Matters is truly remarkable. They seem to think that strong conservative women like Gaines can’t possibly succeed on their own merits and must resort to exploiting others for attention. It’s a classic case of liberal projection.

But Gaines, as we’ve come to expect, didn’t back down. She hit back hard, pointing out that it was actually Thomas who made a name for herself at the expense of collegiate female swimmers. Thomas conveniently jumped from the men’s division to the women’s division after struggling to perform. The unfairness of this situation is crystal clear.
It’s no surprise that MMFA attempted to frame Gaines’ concerns about the future of women’s sports as “anti-trans hate.” This false narrative is a tired tactic that the left loves to employ whenever conservative women speak up. But Gaines refuses to be silenced. She fights for the integrity of women’s sports and exposes the hypocrisy of the left.
Media Matters may have tried to take down Riley Gaines, but they underestimated her strength and resilience. She remains a force to be reckoned with, unyielding in her defense of fair competition. The left may try to tear her down, but they will never succeed. Conservative women like Gaines are here to stay, and they will continue to challenge the leftist status quo.
