President Donald Trump and other Republicans have been under fire from former vice president Mike Pence for allegedly "signaling retreat" from Israel, which he claims paved the way for a significant strike. Pence also charged that President Biden was supporting anti-freedom forces around the world. He continues, "But I also believe this is what happens when we have leading voices like Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ron DeSantis signaling retreat from America’s role as the leader of the free world."
Pence likened Russia's incursion into Ukraine to Hamas's unwarranted assault on Israel. "The heartbreaking images coming out of both of those theaters of operation remind us that America is the indispensable leader of the free world," he stated. We'll use American might to lead if I become president."

In addition, the former vice president denounced Biden for his talks with Iran and his troop pullout from Afghanistan, claiming that these actions emboldened opponents of democracy and created the conditions for Hamas's assault on Israel. Pence emphasized that the Biden administration had left $7 billion worth of equipment, weapons, and ammunition in Afghanistan.
The former president said that if he had stayed in office, he could have prevented Hamas from attacking Israel. He stated, "The horrible attack on Israel, like the attack on Ukraine, would never have happened if I were president – zero chance."
Following recent terror strikes in Iran, more than 600 Israelis have lost their lives and more than 100 civilians—including women and children—have been abducted and transferred to Gaza.
