The vice president was in Los Angeles earlier this month for the Summit of the Americas and spent part of her free time socialising with the Hollywood power brokers who have sponsored her political career.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, rode in the vice presidential motorcade to the home of CAA’s Bryan Lourd and his husband, Bruce Bozzi, for a meal characterised as “a gathering of old friends.”

Kevin Huvane, Barry Diller, and Greg Berlanti, the mega-TV producer, and his husband, soccer star Robbie Rogers, were among those in attendance.
Maya Rudolph, who has played Harris on TV multiple times, and her husband, Licorice Pizza director Paul Thomas Anderson, were also in attendance, as was Allison Janney of The West Wing.
During their journey to Los Angeles, Harris and Emhoff reportedly stayed in their Brentwood home. One night, the couple dined at El Cholo in Santa Monica, one of their favourite restaurants. Two dozen motorcycle officers and upwards of 50 bicycle officers, as well as multiple Secret Service vehicles stationed across the neighbourhood, were apparently required for their night out.
Kamala Harris’ opulent Los Angeles tour comes as ordinary Americans continue to struggle with crippling inflation and record-high gas prices. For the first time, the national average price of a gallon of gas reached $5. Meanwhile, inflation soared to a four-decade high of 8.6 percent in May.
Food prices have risen much further, with meat and eggs up 14.6 percent and dairy products up 11.8 percent, respectively.
During his visit to Los Angeles, President Joe Biden met with Hollywood aristocracy. Biden and his wife, Jill, went to a fundraiser hosted by Democratic mega-donor billionaire Haim Saban and his wife, Cheryl.
