The Republican National Committee (RNC) is not messing around, folks! They have fired off another lawsuit, this time aimed at Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. Why, you ask? Well, it seems like Benson has been up to some sneaky business when it comes to handling those all-important absentee ballots. The RNC claims she’s been playing fast and loose with the rules by giving secret instructions to local election officials.

According to the lawsuit, Benson allegedly told these officials to just go ahead and assume that absentee voter signatures are legit without doing the proper checks. Now, that’s a real head-scratcher, isn’t it? The RNC is not standing for it, though. They are on a mission to uphold election integrity, and they won’t let Benson get away with her shenanigans. Kudos to them for keeping an eye on things and making sure everything is on the up and up.
This isn’t the first time the RNC has had to take Benson to task either. Just last month, they slapped her with a lawsuit for not keeping those voter rolls squeaky clean as required by the law. Apparently, there are more registered voters than there are adults in some Michigan counties.
Benson, on the other hand, seems to be dismissing the RNC’s lawsuits as nothing but a publicity stunt. She’s calling it a PR campaign aimed at undermining people’s trust in our electoral system. Well, Benson, maybe if you followed the rules and did your job properly, there wouldn’t be any lawsuits to begin with.
