Time Magazine Fails to Cover Up Liberal Leanings of Trump Attack Suspect

Time Magazine, that bastion of integrity (sarcasm intended), recently fell flat on its face once again as it tried to downplay the latest attack on former President Donald Trump. In an effort to paint the suspect, Ryan Routh, as some ambiguous character, Time tweeted that they had identified him as a 58-year-old with an “unclear political ideology.” But here’s the kicker: Routh’s political leanings are about as unclear as a foggy night with the headlights off.

The fact is, Routh’s liberal credentials are hardly hidden. The so-called journalists at Time must have skipped their morning coffee when they claimed they couldn’t figure out Routh’s political stance. Xwitter’s Community Notes quickly stepped up to the plate, deftly ripping apart Time’s flimsy narrative. Community Notes, not known for pulling punches, pointed out that Routh had boldly cast his vote in the Democratic primary just last March and had also opened his wallet for the Democrat-connected ActBlue. No ambiguity here; he’s as left as they come.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Routh apparently took his ideology on the road, proudly displaying a Biden-Harris bumper sticker during a recent trip to Hawaii. He also wasn’t shy about using social media to spew anti-Trump rhetoric, with one particularly memorable post claiming that Trump’s agenda would “make Americans slaves.” The twisted irony is thick; one wonders what sort of “freedom” Routh believes he’s fighting for with that rhetoric.

The so-called mainstream media, including CNN, The New York Times, and the rest of the usual suspects, seem to be competing for the title of “Most Disgraced Outlet.” With this constant stream of misinformation, they have devolved into mere lapdogs for the Democratic Party, abandoning any remnants of journalism for partisan character assassination. It’s almost amusing to watch them scramble to discredit the most politically moderate Republican presidential candidate to emerge in generations. In fact, if one squints hard enough, one might even mistake Trump’s agenda for that of Bill Clinton, save for the glaring differences like tax cuts and judicial appointments.

Ultimately, no matter how the electoral landscape unfolds, Media Inc. has dug its own grave. If Trump doesn’t capture the Oval Office again, it’ll be less about the corporate media’s shadowy influence and more about his propensity for creating distractions. Statements criticizing Taylor Swift or the size of the crowd he attracts at a rally might end up being the defining moments of his campaign. A careless loss like that would be a real shame for a candidate with so much potential, but when faced with a media landscape hell-bent on distorting the truth, survival becomes an uphill battle.
