In what can only be described as the most epic battle of political titans, former President Donald Trump is dominating the Republican primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire. Trump has been strutting around like a peacock, boasting to anyone who will listen about his monumental lead in both states. However, some naysayers, AKA “Republican strategists,” are suggesting that Trump’s overconfidence could be his downfall. These so-called strategists argue that by setting the bar so high, Trump is just asking for trouble from his competitors, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.

According to some guy named Matthew Bartlett, who claims to be a Republican strategist, Trump’s unwavering confidence in a landslide victory could actually be a “dangerous thing” in the world of politics.
Now, Rob Stutzman, another Republican strategist, is making wild claims that if DeSantis and Haley manage to reach a certain percentage of the vote, it could send Trump’s camp into a panic.
Some analysts are pointing fingers at recent attack ads targeting Haley in New Hampshire as a sign that Team Trump might be feeling a tad jittery.
Despite all the drama, let’s not forget that the polls are still leaning heavily in Trump’s favor. Most experts are saying that he’s got this in the bag. However, a strong showing by Haley in New Hampshire could give her some much-needed street cred. And even DeSantis, who’s putting all his chips on Iowa, might have a shot at throwing some shade on Trump’s parade if he manages to outperform expectations.
And let’s not forget about Chris Christie, the guy who’s still lingering around the outskirts of this three-person showdown. He’s been talking a big game, saying he’d back either DeSantis or Haley if they prove themselves.
