Former President Donald Trump stole the show in a New York City courtroom, and boy, was it a sight to see! Justice Arthur Engoron probably didn’t see this one coming. It all started as a routine trial involving allegations against Trump and his sons, accused of some petty stuff like overvaluing properties for bank loans. But leave it to Trump to spice things up!

In a bold move, Trump decided to take matters into his own hands and defend himself. His lawyer, Chris Kyes, asked for permission, and surprisingly, it was granted. Justice Engoron gave some restrictions, but who cares about rules when you’re Donald freakin’ Trump? Without missing a beat, Trump unleashed a passionate defense, claiming he’s the real victim here and demanding compensation for damages. Classic Trump!
This whole circus is part of a civil investigation led by New York Attorney General Letitia James. She’s been snooping around, trying to prove that Trump and his company played some financial tricks with their statements. But Trump wasn’t having any of it. He defiantly shouted from the mountaintop that he’s innocent and this is all just a case of “political persecution.” Preach!
The tension in the courtroom went through the roof when Trump blatantly ignored the judge’s warning to wrap it up within a minute. One minute? Who does this judge think he is? Trump couldn’t care less about time limits when he’s defending his honor. He questioned the judge, demanding the chance to deliver his powerful statement because, apparently, he believes his words are more important than following the rules. Classic Trump, yet again!
And here’s the cherry on top: the judge decided that one of Trump’s beloved properties, Mar-a-Lago, is worth a measly $18 million. Can you believe it? Trump, of course, had been boasting about its value being around $1.8 billion. Talk about a huge discrepancy! His team argues that the valuation is way off, and it’s not just about his business. No, no, no. It’s about his political future! Can you imagine the audacity of this man?
The Trump family has had enough of what they call a politically motivated “witch hunt” led by the New York AG. Trump has been shouting from the rooftops about this sham trial since October 2023. He’s throwing shade at Attorney General James and Judge Engoron like there’s no tomorrow. But hey, that’s just Trump being Trump. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny that he knows how to add some excitement to the courtroom. Keep it up, Mr. Ex-President!
