Trump Gains Momentum as He Launches Second Term with Strong Approval

President-elect Donald Trump is embarking on his second term with more momentum than ever, leaving his previous tenure in the dust both in terms of support and sheer excitement. After successfully navigating the political battleground that is Washington, D.C., Trump is ready to roll out his “America First” agenda once again—but this time, he has the caffeine of increased favorability kicking in.

Recent polling from Rasmussen Reports, no friend of the squawking liberal media, shows that an astonishing 53% of people have a positive view of Trump as he heads into office as the nation’s 47th president. This is quite the feat when one considers that back in 2017, he was riding high with a 51% favorability right out of the gate. Clearly, the Trump train doesn’t just continue to chug along; it accelerates as it barrels down the track.

Of course, Democrats are huffing and puffing about how they can’t possibly understand why Trump remains popular. Turns out, a staggering 89% of Republicans think he’s the cat’s pajamas, while 78% of Democrats remain entrenched in their disdain. Even those pesky independent voters have a sliver of appreciation, coming in with 51% liking Trump and just 48% giving him the side-eye. Yet, despite these numbers, the always-crying critics of the left claim Trump lacks a “mandate.” But for anyone with an ounce of common sense, it’s evident that winning both the Electoral College and popular vote most definitely sends a clear message.

Zooming in on demographics, Rasmussen revealed that 57% of white voters are all in on Trump, and even black and Hispanic communities are not completely dismissing him, with 42% and 52% support respectively. Age groups across the board are also shaking their heads in disbelief at notions of anti-Trump sentiment. Ultimately, it appears to be curtains for the naysayers, with multiple polls showcasing that Trump is indeed enjoying one of his highest approval ratings at 54%—especially when framed against Joe Biden’s dismal 36%, an all-time low even before he backpedaled on his own promises.

With each favorable report and mounting support, Trump’s return to the Oval Office seems less like an underdog story and more like the reestablishment of a leader who genuinely resonates with a broad base of American voters. As he sets the stage to “drain the swamp,” tackle immigration, and roll back excessive regulations, it looks like the only thing decreasing in this political landscape is the credibility of those attempting to downplay his achievements. So buckle up; America is in for a wild ride as the Trump era kicks off once again.
