In the upcoming presidential election, some key states have drawn a lot of attention. President Joe Biden appeared to be gaining ground in some recent polls, but it seems that former president Donald Trump still has the advantage in many of these key battleground states. The most recent Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll has indicated that Trump is leading in six out of seven swing states, with an overall lead of +6. While Biden holds a slim lead in Michigan, Trump seems to be performing just as well as he had before in the other states.
Last month, Trump had a lead of 48-43 percent in Arizona, and this month he expanded that lead. Biden gained a small edge in Georgia, but Trump gained significantly in Nevada and North Carolina. Even in Michigan, where Biden is leading, things seem to be different from before. Michigan has been a state worth watching as it has been historically Democratic but with recent events and Biden’s attempts to please the anti-Israel and pro-Hamas base, the state’s future may be less certain.

The recent polls also shed light on the public’s opinion of the economy, which seems particularly concerning as the election approaches. Voters seem to trust Trump more on handling the economy, and a majority of swing-state voters are pessimistic about the economic trajectory. The polls also indicate that more voters view Biden negatively than his party overall.
The polls surveyed a large number of registered voters in several swing states, and Trump is leading in all of them except for Pennsylvania, where Biden has a very small lead.
