Former President Donald Trump is facing yet another witch hunt, this time in the form of an indictment as a result of the Stormy Daniels investigation. Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, believes that if Trump is indicted, he should drop out of the 2024 race. This suggestion has been met with a lot of backlash from Trump supporters, who are adamant that the former president will not be deterred by the Democrats’ attempts to take him down.
Former President Donald Trump should drop out of the 2024 presidential race if he's indicted, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) told USA Today in an interview published Saturday. https://t.co/MweGBEU610

In an interview with USA Today, Hutchinson explained why he believes an indictment would be an unnecessary distraction for the Republican Party as 2024 approaches. He stated that it was “out of respect for the institution of the presidency of the United States” and that “there’s just a lot of turmoil out there with the number of investigations going on.”
It is clear that Democrats are trying to use any means necessary to prevent Trump from running in 2024. They have weaponized federal institutions like the DOJ and FBI to try and take him down. However, Trump has made it clear that he is not going anywhere anytime soon. He has vowed to reverse the weaponization of these institutions and has stated that any attempts to take him down will only enhance his numbers.
It is clear that Democrats are desperate to prevent Trump from running in 2024, but it is also clear that their attempts will be futile. Trump has proven time and time again that he is resilient and will not be deterred by their attempts to take him down. It is a shame that Asa Hutchinson has chosen to side with the Democrats in this matter, as it is clear that they are only interested in their own political gain and not in what is best for America. The Republican Party should stand behind Trump and support him in his efforts to make America great again.
